Your new role
Join an exhilarating journey with the Global Investments & Treasury Risk and Governance Team at QBE.

We are seeking a dynamic Manager to contribute to the strategic landscape of risk management for Group Investments (GI) and Group Treasury (GT).

Reporting directly to the Head of Risk and Governance, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the maturity of risk culture and fortifying the risk management framework.


  • Lead Line 1 risk and governance forums, steering 3LoD meetings.
  • Oversee GI and GT policies, ensuring compliance with Governing Document Management Standard.
  • Serve as the primary contact for GI and GT, liaising with line 2 risk, internal audit, and external audit.
  • Advise on authorities and governance paths for investment and treasury transactions.
  • Evaluate operational risk for new initiatives, conducting due diligence.
  • Execute Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and implement Third-Party Risk Management Policies.

Your story so far


To be successful as a Manager, Operational Risk & Governance, Investments & Treasury you will have proven experience with developing and implementing effective policies and practices.

With a collaborative style and approach, you will bring senior leaders and all levels within GI and GT on the journey to integrate of Investments & Treasury risk activities and further uplift the current level risk maturity from embedded to self-sustaining.


  • Professional qualifications such as audit, CA/CPA, CPRM, or relevant certifications.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing effective policies and practices.
  • Relevant work experience in risk management and/or compliance, preferably in the financial services industry or global investment and treasury businesses.
  • Expertise in conducting operational risk/control environment reviews and analyses.
  • Handson experience with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) systems, preferably RSA Archer.
