Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking a person experienced in conducting evaluation studies to work with a small team of audience researchers and data analysts whose role is to conduct studies for teams that develop experiences for our visitors.


ABOUT MUSEUM VICTORIA:


Museum Victoria cares for the State scientific and cultural collections, providing visitor access, activities and events at five distinct venues: Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, IMAX Cinema and world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.


ABOUT THE POSITION:


The evaluation officer is responsible for conducting high quality evaluation projects and embedding outcomes from the studies to shape visitor experiences offered by Museums Victoria.

The role involves working closely with experience development teams to provide insights that inform decision making that leads to the delivery of engaging experiences.


Notable skills and experiences:


  • Experience in research methodologies
  • A knowledge of audience needs in a cultural setting
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work with and relate well to others


The successful applicant will be someone who has demonstrated experience in developing and conducting primary research projects using qualitative and quantitative research skills.

They will also be experienced in providing actionable evidence-based outcomes that assist the delivery of experiences for visitors to our museums.


OTHER INFORMATION
The position is full-time, fixed-term for 2 years. The salary on offer is $72, % superannuation.
