This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pay Compliance Manager to lead our strategic assurance team in the delivery of continuous improvement and quality assurance strategies and solutions.

The assurance team supports consistent and compliant pay practices across Lendlease Australia. This role is a permanent, full-time position based at our Barangaroo office. Option for a 12-month fixed-term contract.


This is a unique hands-on role where your practical IR/ER, HR and Payroll expertise will be highly regarded and make a valuable contribution to the future direction of the organisation.


In this role you will manage a multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist advice to Payroll, P&C, IR and the business on pay-related matters.

You will implement frameworks, standards and processes with the objective of driving continuous improvement to manage pay compliance while building robust relationships with key cross functional stakeholders.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Review and refine the operating model for the Pay Assurance team in consultation with line manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder engagement and collaboration to support embedment of the Pay Assurance team, its operating model and new frameworks, standards and processes.
  • Define key performance indicators for the Pay Assurance team and evaluate performance, reflect on lessons learnt and implement continuous improvement approaches.
  • Accountable to facilitate the delivery of an effective quality assurance program by the Pay Assurance Team.
  • Support the Pay Assurance team to provide advice to Payroll, P&C, IR and the business on ad hoc payrelated matters.
  • Investigate and implement data insights dashboards to enhance efficiency of the Pay Assurance Team processes.
To see success, you will have

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business/Economics, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Legal, Finance or a related field
  • Good understanding of Payroll, WFM and HR systems and processes and related activities in Australia
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Modern Awards and other state and industry legislation
  • Ability to identify connections between disparate information
  • Team Management experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Exemplary attention to detail
