About the facility
Barwon Health Occupational Therapy Service promotes and provides leadership and excellence in clinical practice, clinical education and in research and development activities.
OT services are provided to all acute wards of University Hospital Geelong, hand-therapy outpatient services, sub-acute beds of The McKellar Centre, Community and Ambulatory services and Mental Health.
The main focus of occupational therapy intervention is to facilitate and enable clients to achieve maximum independence and safety in their daily living skills.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide operational and professional leadership to our Occupational Therapy Department at Barwon Health.
Professional leadership is provided to about another 90+ Occupational Therapists in primary care, mental health and subacute programs across Barwon Health through close liaison with various team leaders and program managers.
The incumbent will also oversee the Occupational Therapy student education program with over 1600 student days from 3 different universities and facilitate research activity within the profession.
The position has a key role as a senior member of the allied health managers group contributing to allied health planning, leading a professional practice portfolio, and representing allied health at committees and on organisational working parties as required.
