We're seeking a proficient individual with a passion for general maintenance.

As our dedicated Maintenance Specialist, you'll undertake a vital role that ensures the smooth operation and pristine condition of our hotel.

Your duties will not only cover a broad spectrum of repair and upkeep tasks but also the coordination with expert contractors to ensure the highest standards of maintenance are met.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing a wide range of repair work across guest rooms and hotel facilities, including plumbing, air conditioning systems, electronic door mechanisms, showers, and furniture, as well as cosmetic upkeep such as painting and patching.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance checks and thorough inspections in both guest accommodations and communal spaces.
  • Managing the replacement of lighting systems throughout our premises.
  • Maintaining various pieces of equipment to keep them functioning flawlessly.
  • Addressing maintenance requests promptly and efficiently, causing mínimal disruption to our guests and operations.
  • Proactively spotting and solving property maintenance issues, demonstrating a handson and forwardthinking attitude.
  • Conducting daily walkthroughs to ensure all machinery and equipment are operational, and the hotel's aesthetic is maintained to our high standards.
  • Liaising with the appropriate contractors to ensure specialized tasks are completed expertly and to our exacting specifications.
The role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with working hours from 8 am to 4:30 pm.


Desired Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills: Proficiency in a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues promptly and effectively.

Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a hospitality or facilities management context.

Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure all maintenance work is completed to a high standard.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for effectively liaising with team members, management, and external contractors.

Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to handle routine maintenance and respond to urgent repairs.

Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and able to navigate the property, including reaching, bending, and lifting.

Customer Service: Experience in customer service, demonstrating professionalism and patience when interacting with guests.

Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a maintenance environment.

Proactivity: A proactive approach to identify and address maintenance needs before they escalate.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Certifications: Relevant trade certifications or licenses (e.g., electrician's license, HVAC certification) are a plus.

Technical Qualifications: Formal training or qualifications in a trade or facilities maintenance is advantageous.
