The Role
Reporting to the State Manager, the Corporate Services Manager performs a broad range of strategic, operational, and administrative functions.

The role is central for coordinating and managing a variety of functions such as learning and development, recruitment, finance and budget management, property and fleet management, business continuity and emergency management and providing secretariat and administrative support to the State Manager.

The role works closely with the senior leadership group, working strategically on workforce planning, financial management and corporate governance. You will lead project-based activities and coordinate local events that contribute to an inclusive workplace and positive culture.


To be successful in the role, you should be highly motivated and demonstrate a high level of productivity, resourcefulness, initiative, flexibility and be confident working with both Executive level staff and Delivery and Engagement officers.

Key to the success of the role is the ability to collaborate effectively with all peers and stakeholders to deliver results.

This can be a fast paced and dynamic role requiring you to be organised, able to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality work.

Some travel including overnight trips may be required.


Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 may include:

  • Providing support, advice and service excellence to the State Manager, Senior Leadership Group, South Australian State Office, and State Network colleagues.
  • Focus on strategic projects to develop capability of our people, to improve corporate governance processes, to develop business continuity and to enhance organisational culture.
  • Demonstrate leadership as an individual and model the behaviours in the state office.
  • Manage a broad range of time critical tasks through effective prioritisation.
  • Coordinate Learning and Development opportunities including planning, sourcing, and booking training for colleagues.
  • Coordinate recruitment and procurement activities including drafting documentation eg proposals, business cases, requests for quotes, contracts etc.
  • Responsible for the financial administration for state office including forecasting monthly and annual expenditure, paying invoices, reporting, and presenting financial information to the leadership group.
  • Coordinate meetings and manage events, activities, and functions on behalf of the State Manager and the South Australian State Office.
  • Liaise with a number of national teams who coordinate services that support the South Australian State Office eg property, fleet, IT, finance and recruitment.
  • Promote an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications and Education

  • Drivers Licence is essential.
