About the role


The role provides technical governance and oversight of the engineering activities in these areas with a view of ensuring technical compliance is achieved and certification of the nominated Scopes of Work can be provided.

It also provides technical leadership in the delivery of engineering solutions from initial concept to completion and verification of a nominated Scope of Work.


  • Provide technical design solutions for the electrical disciplines of HV design packages, as appropriate
  • Manage design of Traction SCADA Systems, Communications and Signalling/ Rail Systems
  • Ensure a common approach to design templates, interface management, design deliverables, reporting and delivery program management
  • Provide design management support to the Alliance
  • Provide technical direction of the electrical disciplines of HV and LV design packages, as appropriate.
  • Ensure interaction by the electrical team with the internal and external Interface and Integration teams.
  • Set up and lead an Electrical Technical Working Group to discuss and resolve technical issues with the client.
  • Participate in selfperform discipline team leader meetings and provide feedback to the electrical discipline through team meetings.

About You

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with a strong ability to negotiate and influence
  • Experience working within Rail or large multidiscipline projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands
  • Bachelor's Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Completed a Tertiary education in Engineering (Electrical/Controls).
  • At least 10 years' experience in design management for multidiscipline projects large Infrastructure Projects.
  • Chartered professional engineer.
