Your new role


As Associate Director - Investment Risk, you will lead the Fund's efforts to understand, manage, and allocate investment risk across tactical and strategic asset allocation to build great portfolios and help drive excellent investment performance outcomes.


The Asset Allocation Team sits within the Investments Group and is responsible for managing asset allocation across the Fund's Diversified, multi-asset class investment options.

This position can be based in our Melbourne or Sydney office.


You will:

  • Analyse, inform, and make recommendations on tactical and strategic asset allocation across the multiasset class investment options.
  • Monitor markets and macroeconomic factors to understand drivers of investment risk and return, and to incorporate into risk and portfolio positioning recommendations.
  • Lead the investment risk research capability across the short and longterm to generate insights into building better portfolios and analytical capabilities.
  • Work across the Investment teams to understand asset class strategy and risks to help ensure that asset allocation decisions are appropriately informed and sized.

What you'll need

  • Extensive experience within an investment risk, investment strategy, or portfolio construction context, preferably in an investment management organisation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of investment principles, risk concepts, and portfolio construction and asset allocation strategies.
  • Demonstrated communication and influencing skills, including an ability to communicate complex matters simply and concisely, and to present to senior stakeholders, Boards, and Committees.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead ad hoc project teams and drive change.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, work collectively with team members and contribute to team initiatives
  • Superior tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance or a related field.
