At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart.

We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world.

What's in it for you?
As an Employment Legal Counsel, you'll join our growing Litigation Practice Group (LPG) within the EY General Counsel's office.

You will be an experienced employment lawyer who is commercially focused, capable of managing a varied workload and adept at collaborating with and providing strategic and practical employment law advice to senior stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

  • Advising on and managing workplace investigations and complaints.
  • Advising on and representing the Firm in relation to employee claims such as general protection and unfair dismissal claims.

What we're looking for
Here's our 'wish list' but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes. We're interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • Between 5 and 8 years' post admission experience as an employment lawyer, preferably with inhouse experience.
  • Experience in contentious and noncontentious employment matters.
  • Ability to provide strategic commercial advice to stakeholders.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Creative thinker and pragmatic problem solver.
  • Significant experience in providing legal advice in relation to resolving employee disputes and conducting employment litigation.
