Position Information:


Unanderra Public School is proudly located on Dharawal Country with a strong focus on aspirational goals, student wellbeing and guiding and supporting students to interact in a safe, respectful and responsible manner.

We have embraced the Positive Behaviour for Learning model to build a culture of kindness, perseverance and team spirit. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, with 382 students currently enrolled and 8% identifying as Aboriginal.

High expectations of students, community and staff ensure we remain focused on our core business-the successful attainment of student learning outcomes.

Teaching staff provide a variety of engaging learning experiences that promote critical thinking, are differentiated and future focused, to meet the specific needs of the whole child.

Selection Criteria:


In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with proven skills
to create a positive school culture of high expectations and innovative pedagogies to ensure effective, evidence-informed literacy and numeracy teaching practices.


A highly visible, inclusive and collaborative leader with the capacity to support teachers with varying levels of experience to embed quality differentiated teaching practices, systems and processes.


Demonstrated ability to work as part of a dynamic leadership team in a proactive, collaborative and future focused environment that improves student growth and achievement.


Proven ability to enhance positive parent and whole school community partnerships that support targeted student wellbeing outcomes and the implementation of the school's Strategic Improvement Plan.


General Selection Criteria:


  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
  • 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
