The role:


Transactional Banking is an integral part of Corporate & Institutional Banking, providing specialist advice to all segments across the broader C&IB banking team.

Our Transactional Banking team work collaboratively with clients to help business manage their daily financial transactions, including cash management, liquidity management and payments services.


Our Transaction Banking team currently have a newly created role, based in Melbourne, with a focus on the delivery of world class bid management.

Responsible for end-to-end management strategy for the bid process, you'll work alongside the national sales team to support growth and retention of existing and new clients.

Bring your creative and impactful writing skills to generate outstanding bids and collateral to support the performance of the broader C&IB banking team.


Your opportunity

  • Manage the production of bid responses to the highest standards of quality, excellence and within our compliance framework
  • Manage and deliver client pitch collateral, tender responses and presentations including design and layout of content within brand guidelines
  • Understand the bid timelines and develop bid plans to meet the relevant milestones on time and steer internal stakeholders to successful completion
  • Research and analyse potential clients, competitors, and market trends to develop effective proposals and bids
  • Identify and respond to client needs, concerns, and objectives in proposals and bids
  • Monitor and analyse bid feedback and outcomes to support continuous improvement of overall quality, win rates and bid effectiveness.
  • Create compelling value propositions and key messages that differentiate NAB from its competitors
  • Develop and maintain a library of proposal and bid content, including past proposals, and references.
  • Participate in postproposal/bid debriefings to gather feedback and insights for future proposals and bids.

What you'll bring:


  • You will be a seasoned and compelling writer, coupled with an energy for delivering with quality and excellence
  • Proven ability to synthesise data, translate trends and insights into compelling stories on 'why' NAB
  • You'll have a natural appetite to succeed, and share in team success in securing new business opportunities
  • Practical knowledge of industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies that can be incorporated into proposals and bids gained through direct experience in corporate, strategic, technical and/or bid writing
  • A high competency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or other related discipline
