    Details

    : Transport Canberra is looking for a talented, dedicated and highly motivated person to be responsible for the overall operations of the Fleet team, ensuring compliance against relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

    The Operations Manager oversees workshop and fleet performance, making recommendations to the Senior Director on enhancing systems and processes, develop and implement strategies to build workforce performance and capability and act as an escalation point for issues that relate to fleet reliability and performance.

    You will provide leadership and motivation to develop a team within an operational environment including the ability to provide continuous improvement to achieve quality fleet performance and maintenance outcomes.

  • People with relevant qualifications in automotive mechanical technology, diesel motor mechanics or electrical vehicle mechanics.
  • Proactive decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Enjoy a challenge with a positive mindset.

    • Eligibility/Other requirements:

  • To be eligible for permanent employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
  • Individuals on visas with Australian working rights are eligible to apply for temporary non-ongoing roles.
  • A pre-employment criminal history check will be conducted.
  • This position does require a pre-employment medical.
  • Drivers Licence (C-class) with the ability to obtain MR class.
  • Holding a qualification in automotive mechanical technology, diesel motor mechanics or electrical vehicle mechanics is essential.
