About the Business Unit

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers high quality services to Victorians and supports a safe, just, innovative and thriving Victoria.

Procurement Services is part of the Corporate Governance and Support division, it provides department-wide procurement leadership and strategic direction, policy, process and capability development.

The Workplace Services Improvement (WSI) team is a specialist centre for the management of property, assets, leases and maintenance of assets within the department.

WSI is responsible for maintaining facility compliance with Statutory, Regulatory and Ministerial Directions' requirements including the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF), in addition to facilitating asset management for the department.

About the Role

This role sits in the Assets and Maintenance Management Team (AMMT) within WSI which manages the operation of the department's outsourced Asset and Maintenance Services Contract (AMSC) and the department's compliance with the Asset Management accountability Framework (AMAF).

AMSC provides assets and maintenance services management for assets that are critical to operations within the Department with particular focus upon the Building Regulations and the Annual Essential Safety Measures Maintenance Report (AESMR) associated with Essential Safety Measures (ESM).

The role of an Asset Data and Systems Manager

  • Lead and coordinate access to, implementation and use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Including the provision of expert advice on systems performance and operations.
  • Provide systems and reporting support to the AMSC Contract Manager.
About You

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement or implementation of asset management systems or experience in maintaining data within an asset management system.
  • Analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to determine trends, plotting performance and monitoring failure rates for assets that may become an operational liability.
  • Knowledge of Victorian Digital Asset Strategy (VDAS), ISO 55000, the Building Act 1993 (Act), the Building Code of Australia (Code), Victorian Building Regulations 2018 (Regulations)
Qualifications/Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably encompassing procurement, supply chain, data science or information technology is highly desirable.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Therefore, there is a requirement that all DJCS employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to undertake duties outside of their homes.

At interview stage and prior to commencement of employment with the department, you will need to provide evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 with three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal.

This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).


Acceptable evidence includes:


  • COVID19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
  • Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
