About the Role

_Venture Smart_ is a 50/50 joint venture between
Ventia and
Johnson Controls (JCI) to providing ongoing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) maintenance services & electrical capital works state wide for
Main Roads WA.

What you will need:


  • High Risk Work License, LF (Forklift), Skilled in both counter balance and high reach.
  • MR Drivers License (Desirable)
  • 4+ years experience in equivalent role


  • SAP experience preferred

  • Warehousing/Maintenance modules.
  • Working in a high pressure, dynamic, physical environment
  • Previous exposure to purchasing.
  • Solutions focused with the attitude to lead and improve.
  • Strong numeracy and English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data quickly and accurately.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance and control.
  • Experience in Logistics and scheduling
  • High level attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate with others, multitask and achieve winwin solutions
  • Experience in a high paced operational environment
  • Knowledge of electrical materials, products and equipment (desirable)

What you will be doing:


The Stores Lead will be responsible for leading and supervising Stores personnel in delivering a proactive, Safe and efficient stores enabling the operational team to focus on delivery activities.


  • Ensure the timely, accurate management of stock requests, transfers and returns whilst assisting in the ongoing monitoring of business min/max levels.
  • Facilitate and track stores materials for warranty returns ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Lead a safe working environment and identify and hazards.
  • Oversee the maintenance and tracking of Electrical tooling and equipment register with accuracy.
  • Receipt and storage of deliveries
  • Maintain and distribution of tooling and associated registers with accuracy.
  • Safe and effective storage of all stock to optimise picking / packing activities
  • High reach forklift activities, Loading, delivery, and movement of parts between warehouse locations
  • Picking, packing, and executing orders in a timely manner.
  • Analyse stock on hand to ensure stores space is maximised.
  • Analyse and audit stock movements to provide clear understanding of operational requirements
  • Work closely with Purchasing officer and Superintendent to maximise efficient purchasing, providing continuous feedback to ensure correct stock on hand.
  • Seeking regular feedback from frontline leadership to ensure operational requirements are being met.
  • Regular liaison with suppliers, stores team, and operational leads to provide a reliable and consistent high level of service.
