Job Details:

Job Summary:
Performs both routine and complex maintenance duties associated while following established standards and practices. Provide specialist ICT services within a small maintenance team of simulation specialists. This position works under limited supervision, and liaises regularly with military aircrew.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain the integrity of existing systems as well as provide expert ICT advice on system upgrades
Develop and update standard operating procedures and bench level instructions
Interpret network drawings
Assist in coordinating deployment preparations, including: pod shipping and associated commercial invoices and Shipping Memos, liaise with Customs, packup, ICADS terrain and airspace files and Mission Lineups
Test Common Modular Pod (CMP) software releases and oversee implementation of CMP firmware updates to the P5 pod fleet. Liaise with Airforce engineers to validate software test and loading.
Work with engineers to investigate complex issues, component failures and component redesigns.
Test and implement approved modifications to the IT system.
Perform maintenance of all computers and associated peripherals as required
Maintain records of all support and repair activities in accordance with contractual requirements
Plan and support Live Monitor activities at local and deployed locations.
Train military aircrew and groundcrew in the system

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Comply with Cubic's Quality Management System
Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations
Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures
Other duties as requested

Minimum Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Cert IV in Aeroskills or equivalent
Current Drivers Lice
Hold an Australian Defence / Industry security clearance (NV1 or higher)
CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ Certification or equivalent experience
Other Formal IT related qualifications as well as some technical/maintenance experience or aptitude (a combination of qualifications and experience across both these areas will be well regarded)

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Sound knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking.
Ability to use PC software such as word processors, spread sheets and databases
Ability to draft and present test reports and publications amendment recommendations.
Ability to lift 25kgs
