The Role:

The role facilitates engineering design services for brownfield sustaining capital projects in the Resources industry.

Worley are also delivering projects focused on enablement of future green energy and decarbonisation goals for our clients which entails transition of existing brownfield infrastructure towards sustainability.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet Worley, the client's and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake and/or support engineering design and technical verification of discipline project deliverables by others.
  • Responsible for safe and sustainable design
  • Proactively seek an understanding of the safety hazards and risks associated with the asset lifecycle of the designed product, plant or structure.
  • Considers Safety in Design risks throughout the project lifecycle, be responsible for action and close out where relevant.
  • Perform discipline specific engineering services such as
:

a. prepare/assist and as required oversee the production of engineering calculations, drawings and documentation;
b. ensure all deliverables are checked in accordance with Worley checking procedures;
c. attend site visits as required;
d. facilitate and/or contribute to discipline Safety in Design risk assessment for each project;
a. participate in project reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and safety design workshops;
b.

initiate, manage and supervise, engineering assignments with the Workshare team; manage coordination and technical integrity on a regular basis as required to effectively deliver engineering services.


  • Prepare/and or review engineering estimates for the electrical discipline in response to requests for quotation
:

a) scope engineering requirements;
b) detail methodologies and/or engineering tasks in scope and those out of scope;
c) clarify and detail assumptions, exclusions, rely upon information and deliverables list;
d) input into the schedule incorporating a realistic delivery sequence for the discipline with consideration to project milestones; input from other disciplines and receival of rely on information; and
e) ascertaining resources required based on availability.

  • Communicate effectively and regularly with the project stakeholders/team including the Lead Discipline Engineer (where not lead themselves), Workshare team and Project Engineer/Manager on design progress, budget, technical matters, quality and resource planning.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships within the electrical discipline team, other parts of Worley, with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical direction and advice to the discipline, discipline team and project teams as required by position.
  • Identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, clients and other Worley personnel; build relationships to grow the business and networks within Worley.
  • In a lead capacity
:

a) Manage sequence of engineering tasks at a high level to ensure deliver according to project schedules (including activities by third party contractors)
b) Primary interface with customer for discipline-specific engineering issues
c) Ensure technical integrity of the discipline's deliverables through the implementation of checking and design review activities
d) Provide technical direction, control and supervision for engineering and design within the discipline
e) Deliver the discipline's design deliverables within schedule and budget
f) Maintain discipline task and deliverables lists for the project
g) Manage quality and consistency within the discipline
h) Coordinate change control and technical query process within the discipline
i) Manage discipline resources assigned to the project
j) Report progress of discipline deliverables
k) Resolve discipline technical issues
l) Maintain discipline files
m) Coordinate design with other dis
