Description

Government role with an impactful remit

July start, year long contract
CBD location with hybrid options.

This role requires an econometrician to analyse labour market data and develop, test and improve economic models, with a particular focus on Beveridge curve analysis and search and matching models

To be successful in this role will need to be able to work effectively as part of a small and specialised team that is focussed on labour market and economic modelling projects.

As an experienced Econometrician, you will have:

Post-graduate qualification in Economics / Econometrics, or similar
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong proficiency in Econometrics
Proficiency in "R"
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to meet critical deadlines
Extensive experience in preparing statistical reports
Experience with GitHub, Azure (Databricks and Datalake) and Posit will be an advantage
Baseline clearance or ability to obtain this required
