Currently there exists an opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join their team in a newly created role to help streamline purchasing processes and work cross-functionally across the business.


About the role
As the Purchasing Manager, you can make this role your own.

With a focus across freight and logistics, procurement, supplier management and liaising with Production, it is the ideal role for someone passionate, driven and who can take initiative.


As the business looks to go through a significant growth phase and double their revenue and employee workforce, you will play a significant role in shoring up supplier relationships both locally and internationally and optimising processes.


Key responsibilities

  • Both local and international purchasing, and dealing with key external relationships
  • Coordinating with various suppliers, especially smaller suppliers that are integral to casting or molding
  • Assisting with chasing customers, looking after freight, tracking freight and being accountable for when goods are due to come in
  • Daytoday running of MRP reports, ERP system (use Pronto)
  • The role will also involve working with Sales/Territory Managers to develop customer relationships in the APAC region
  • Work closely with the Production Managers to assure trying to develop APAC and Indian customers and will require buyin with both local and international foundries

Skills & experience
This is an exciting and integral role within the business and your experience and skill set will include the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Engineering Degree or Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain or something similar
  • Demonstrated experience within manufacturing or industrial services organisations, with a technical understanding of engineering related terms


  • ERP experience

  • Pronto is advantageous
  • Strong Excel and analytical abilities
  • Experience liaising with both local and international suppliers, developing rapport and buy in
  • Experience with freight, logistics and coordinating production as per requirements
