The Company

Our client is a global FMCG with a leading presence in the Australian market due to an excellent reputation built on quality products, operational excellence, and first-class customer service.

Due to a recent acquisition and a number of new lines going live, they are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join the National Supply Chain team.

The Role

Working with the National Sales & Operations Planning team, the Production Planner will work closely with the site Production Managers and will support the production, logistics, and purchasing teams in effectively planning and scheduling of production.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring stock levels and plans are maintained to support our service commitments to our customers.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage production schedule & prioritize requirements to ensure that production & supply meets business stocking requirements.
  • Develop production plans to reduce/balance production constraints around materials, machinery, or labour.
  • Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Identify excesses or shortfalls in raw material and manage production plans where appropriate to resolve excesses and support raw material life constraints.
  • Identify root causes and corrective actions for major deviations in the plan and any impacts to DIFOT or wastage KPIs.
  • Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
  • Align with & maintain optimal safety stock & lot size parameters by SKU for their respective sites.
  • Continuous improvement and ownership of specific daily, weekly & monthly reporting including development of new reports as required.
  • Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
  • SAP system

Preferred Experience

You will have 2-3 years' experience in a similar role within planning - ideally a commercial environment like FMCG, or Manufacturing.

This role requires a strong communicator who thrives in a fast paced and goal orientated environment.
