THE ROLE

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Act as the primary point of call for decisions relating to crisis management, staffing issues, and incident reporting
  • Provide employees practice advisory and debriefing services during or after critical incidents
  • Stakeholder liaison and mandatory reporting where required
  • Realtime accurate reporting of oncall service provided
  • Review reports of critical incidents
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement

Skills and Experiences:


ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant/s will require the following Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Certificate IV qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Youth Work, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling) is essential.
  • Experience in oncall responsibilities in residential OOHC is essential with a strong understanding of practice, legislative/regulatory, and staff support requirements. Experience in developing safety plans, behaviour support strategies, case noting, and report writing is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities.
  • Valid unrestricted Australian drivers licence
  • Valid Blue Card and Yellow Card (or willingness to attain)
  • Experience in working with young people with complex trauma is essential.
