experienced Communications Rigger / Inspector and a
Team Lead Communication Rigger / Inspector to your join our
Telecommunication Operations and Services Team in Brisbane covering the Inspection Program.

No construction or builds, brownfield work only.

Reporting to the Project Lead, you will work together to complete Inspections, Audits and routine maintenance on Telecommunication Structures / Sites throughout NSW and QLD, but not limited to these States.

The role will require extensive travel and time away from home.

About the role

Inspection of telecommunication structures including mobile, fixed wireless and broadcast. These include towers, monopoles, guyed masts and rooftop structures
Working at heights documenting / reporting on structure corrosion levels (e.g. structure members / bracing, platforms, access ladders, cable gantry support stringers, guy cables)
Reporting and risk rating identified issues found on structure and site
Completing maintenance repairs / refurbishment relating to structural integrity, at height and ground level
Inspecting Structure earthing and completing repairs as required
Measuring Guy tensions on guyed masts, and adjusting to specification if required
Auditing Carrier equipment on structure including antennas, feeders, headframes, RRU's
Checking, maintain and operating equipment in accordance with the requirements of safety, efficiency and calibration procedures
Rigging and general work, as required by the company

About you

Proven experience in telecommunications rigging
Current Advanced Rigging certificate (Team Lead Rigger / Inspector)
Current Basic Rigging minimum (Rigger/Inspector)
Current Working at Heights and Tower Rescue ticket
RadHaz / EME Awareness
Ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly (i.e., climbing up to 120 metres). Previous climbing experience is essential.
Experience working with cherry pickers, EWP's, cranes as required to carry out work on site
Solid knowledge of telecommunication External Plant Carrier equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings
Possess the skills to complete all necessary documentation in relation to structure inspections and structural issue reporting
Competent with MS Office 9 Excel, Outlook
Decision making and problemsolving skills
First Aid certification
EWP ticket
Construction industry white card
Current driving licence (4 X 4 driving experience is a plus)
