About the role:

InfraBuild is Australia's only fully vertically-integrated steel manufacturer spanning scrap metal recycling, steel manufacturing and downstream distribution.

As a Transport Allocator, you will be responsible for communicating with all parties in the Recycling supply chain and responding to all requests, ensuring that our promise to the customer is met and safety is not compromised while always maintaining efficiencies and professionalism.

This role is based out of our Hemmant site.

Your responsibilities will include:

Scheduling pickup and deliveries for the InfraBuild Recycling Internal and Contract fleet
Managing and coordinating fleet transport operations within the transport network in line with documented safe operating procedures
Inspecting fleet transport vehicles and drivers for the purpose of compliance with regulatory and InfraBuild Recycling safety system requirements
Auditing and signing off on driver hours and break times, ensuring compliance with fatigue management regulations
Maintaining efficient use of freight options and contract arrangements whilst providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers
Maintaining contact with customers / suppliers to determine transport requirements
Responding to customer enquiries regarding transport, deliveries and pickups

About your experience:

You are a self-driven and have the ability to ensure efficient coordination on a regular basis with the drivers and customers and have a passion for delivering on time.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Certificate III/IV in logistics/transport is desirable
Knowledge of load configuration and restraint requirements
Knowledge of vehicle types and capacity restrictions
Experience in MS Office suite, SAP and tracking softwares advantageous
Ability to be selfmanaged and daytoday driver management
