About the role
This is exciting opportunity for someone who has passion for quality and hospitality in Age Care.

Based in our Wembley Residential Aged Care Home, Catering Assistants form part of a larger team supporting people to live their best lives.

Catering Assistants ensure responsible work practises of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene while delivering quality catering and hospitality services within the Age Care Home.

You will get the opportunity to create meaningful connections with our residents and grow your passion for quality Aged Care.

The role operates with flexible working hours.


About you
You are empathetic person with caring nature who can work in the fast-paced environment.


Your key experience will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of OHS regulations and Health & Hygiene principles
  • Ability to work independently and actively participate as a team member
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • A willingness and ability to embrace the Values and ethical principles of MercyCare
  • Understanding of your own safety and others in the workplace
  • National Police Clearance (within last 6 months)
  • Evidence of COVID and Flu vaccinations (preferred)
