One of our valued clients is the largest Diesel Engine manufacturer in the world. With offices around Australia they need an experienced Mechanical Trade Assistant to join their team at Scoresby. Casual role 5 days per week Monday to Friday

MORNING shift 6am start - 2:30pm finish, a great 6 months + opportunity with this large international company.

To be successful you must have:

Mechanical Aptitude
Valid driver's license

High Risk license

Forklift (Advantageous)
Safety Focused and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Good customer service skills
Ability to work unsupervised
Willingness and flexibility to work reasonable overtime and rosters to meet customer needs

The Role:

Assist trades person to carry out repairs and rebuilds of engines and components
Operates machines, hand tools and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment
Able to follow all standard work, process documentation and quality procedures
Be able to work to cost and quality procedures
Performs quality inspections
Identifies and controls nonconforming material
Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product
Achieves production goals.
Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required
Works with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair
