Description


As our new Technical Lead End User Compute Services, you will be joining a team of highly skilled and motivated technical engineers focused on Microsoft 365 products, services and solutions.

You will have scope to provide robust and reliable production technology services supporting a complex and changing business.


Alongside addressing technology incidents and service requests in a rapid, efficient and effective manner, with a focus on continuous improvement and adding customer value.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in developing plans and execute improvements to our end user platforms and operations to improve overall availability, quality and performance. These improvements not only cover the actual platforms but also cover processes, procedures, tools and techniques.
  • Support the operation, control and ongoing maintenance and health of IT infrastructure platforms used by end users and monitors their performance, while ensuring that operational procedures and working practices are fit for purpose and current.
  • Assist with incidents investigations to minimise probability of recurrence and contribute to service improvement.
  • Evaluate and assist in the identification of technical and security deficiencies and provide solutions to remediate.
  • Support during major incidents and ensure that service is restored as quickly as possible, escalating when required and ensuring all stakeholders are kept up to date.
  • Technical consultation on projects and small change, with stakeholder engagement and status reporting.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and positive relationships with your team, other ICT teams, and end users.

Key skills & Experience:


  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing ICT infrastructure systems in large corporate environments.
  • Provide technical strategic direction and advice focusing on our managed M365 components.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365 components (Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, Power Platform).
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Security and Compliance products (Defender, DLP, CloudApp Security, Conditional Access).
  • Ability to act as a technical escalation point.
  • Ability to provide mentoring and guidance to technical staff within the team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of ITIL change and release processes.
  • Core understanding of project delivery methodologies.
