  • Parttime (0.6FTE), fixed term contract from 1 January 2024 until 31 December 2024 based in Justice and Society at the Magill Campus
  • Salary: $96,929 $103,789 (pro rata) per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role


Reporting to the Professor, you will be responsible for undertaking research-related support activities associated with defence projects in the Behaviour Brain Body Research Centre.

Developing new knowledge and multi-disciplinary solutions to some of society's most pressing issues, UniSA Justice & Society offers a wide range of programs and conducts world-class research in the fields of law, psychology, social work, human services and social sciences.

UniSA Justice & Society is also home to the Australian Centre for Child Protection, Australia's premier research centre focused on the development of new solutions and approaches to the critical problem of child abuse and neglect.


Core Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyse and assist with the interpretation of statistical data as well as prepare and draft information
  • Liaise with academics, researchers, and other research participants including organising and attending meetings associated with the evaluation being conducted
  • Conduct comprehensive literature, media, website and archival searches including the preparation of literature reviews and analysis of research data
  • Participate in the Academic Unit's research concentrations and other relevant collaborative forums, to ensure research performance and outcomes are achieved and effectively address the Excellent in Research in Australia criteria
  • Support the publishing and communicating of research outcomes from the group to different audiences by participating and presenting at conferences and seminars

Essential Skills and Experience

  • High degree of expertise in statistics, particularly in studies involving sleep, physiology and performance data
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage research projects, particularly with defence partners
  • Highly developed research, analytical, information literacy and report writing skills for conference papers and educational publications
  • Ability to locate, analyse, compile, and edit relevant literature and research data to produce research reports, conference papers, and manuscripts for refereed journals
  • Experience of writing up research findings for a variety of audiences including policy and academic communities, and active engagement in collaborative research practices
