About the business


Legacy Packing is part of the AC Foods global business, with citrus orchards in southern NSW and a packing facility in Cobram, Victoria.

The home base for this position is at our Melbourne offices (Keilor East).


The Legacy Packing Sales Team operates in the domestic, export and import space with strong business across wholesale markets and major chain stores.


This is a sales focused position to support our existing domestic clients and to develop new opportunities within the company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Australian SumoCitrus sales program; managing customer expectations and promotions to support brand recognition and growth, year on year
  • Manage domestic sales and provide relevant reports to meet the needs of our business
  • Effectively manage and communicate the weekly sales programs (including chain stores) to our packing facilities (internal and external).
  • Develop solid, respectful relationships with key customers that produces confidence & growth in all our citrus varieties
  • Build relationships with external growers and packers to secure supply of highquality fruit that meets customers' expectations
  • Maintain knowledge of stock volumes, pricing, quality
  • Manage the inventory held at Legacy Packing to ensure stock is despatched on orders in an appropriate timeframe
  • Timely and accurate administration of orders, pricing, updates, claims/rejections, projections (volume and price projections) and program planning
  • Contribute to the development of the sales division, through active participation in team strategy meetings and budgeting processes
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with internal and external associates

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the fresh produce industry is essential.
  • Experience managing national accounts (FMCG) will be highly regarded
  • Technically savvy particularly with the MS Office
  • Flexibility to manage a busy workload and meet conflicting deadlines
  • A confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, and possess a positive customer service mindset
  • A current driver's licence
