Solomon mine

Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi people.

Roster: 4 days / 3 off - days only FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to:
Senior Reliability Engineer

Autonomously manage the compliance for classified plant, conducting inspections, implementing auditing programs, and promoting safety culture, requiring relevant qualifications, experience, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage site classified plant compliance
Communicate the requirements for classified plant compliance across the site
Manage auditing program
Reporting on classified plant compliance levels to management
Conduct classified plant inspections
Promoting a strong safety culture

Qualifications and Experience:

Approved Classified Plant Inspector qualification
Relevant Engineering or Technology qualifications
Demonstrated experience in a similar role
Experience with inspections for EWP, cranes, pressure vessels, ropes and winches.
Sound mechanical knowledge of fixed and mobile plant
Ability to work autonomously with varying tasks, meet deadlines and achieve performance targets
Ability to record and maintain accurate information in accordance with organisational procedures and protocols
Knowledge of and ability to understand and interpret Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 and the Mines Safety Inspection Act 1994, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations 199
Experience with managing audit systems
Strong communication and relationship building skills
