Our Opportunity:


Location:
Solomon mine

  • Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi people.

Roster: 4 days / 3 off - days only FIFO ex Perth


Reporting to:
Senior Reliability Engineer


Autonomously manage the compliance for classified plant, conducting inspections, implementing auditing programs, and promoting safety culture, requiring relevant qualifications, experience, and strong communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and manage site classified plant compliance
  • Communicate the requirements for classified plant compliance across the site
  • Manage auditing program
  • Reporting on classified plant compliance levels to management
  • Conduct classified plant inspections
  • Promoting a strong safety culture

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Approved Classified Plant Inspector qualification
  • Relevant Engineering or Technology qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Experience with inspections for EWP, cranes, pressure vessels, ropes and winches.
  • Sound mechanical knowledge of fixed and mobile plant
  • Ability to work autonomously with varying tasks, meet deadlines and achieve performance targets
  • Ability to record and maintain accurate information in accordance with organisational procedures and protocols
  • Knowledge of and ability to understand and interpret Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 and the Mines Safety Inspection Act 1994, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations 199
  • Experience with managing audit systems
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
