Government contract role

8 month contract

3 days per week

$70.71 p/h plus super

Our Government client is seeking a Stakeholder Liaison or Public Relations specialist to work alongside the project team to help manage stakeholder engagement activities for the introduction of a major project.

Activities under this role include:

Identifying stakeholders (beyond the project team's existing contact lists) and encouraging their engagement in the consultation processes as well as preparing them for the transition to new form of regulation. This would include research into affected industry groups, for example strata managers, and developing a comprehensive stakeholder list including contact details. The specialist will be required to develop a database of stakeholders for use by the client going forward.
Cold calling stakeholders and building relationships.
Ongoing stakeholder liaison and relationship management.
Developing a comprehensive and targeted communications and social media strategy.
Creating or refining content for messaging tailored to specific stakeholder groups.

Essential skills or experience

Highlydeveloped written and verbal communication skills including the ability to build strong ongoing relationships with stakeholders at all levels, responding to enquiries from the public and media.
Highly developed research, conceptual, analytical, and problemsolving skills, including the ability to identify unknown stakeholders.
Well developed organisational skills with the ability to manage detailed project plans and deliver project objectives within agreed timeframes.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder liaison and/or public relations at a company or organisation, including creation of content/messaging and targeted communication and social media strategies.
