- Ensure proposed investments comply with Australian and International tax laws and meet all requirements of the Fund's tax risk policies.
- Ensure all tax issues covering the whole of investment life cycle are identified and communicated to all relevant parties.
- Assist with planning and execution of the Fund's investment tax strategy.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting disciplines or Tax Law.
- 9+ years (Manager) or 7-8 years (Senior Associate) experience in taxation, including the structuring of investments and/or corporate M&A transactions, either in a professional services firm, superannuation or funds management environment

Your new role
The successful candidate will join the Investment Tax team at the level of Manager or Senior Associate. The level will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. The role will report into the Senior Manager, Investment Tax and sit within the broader Tax Services team.
The Investment Tax team helps to maximize retirement outcomes for our members by ensuring that investment decisions are made on a tax informed basis.
In this role, you will be a direct member of internal transaction teams and will be responsible for managing tax due diligence and structuring for direct unlisted investments in infrastructure, property, private credit and private equity. You will also provide ongoing tax advisory support, both with respect to the Fund's listed and unlisted investments, and other investment department projects and strategic initiatives. There is no direct tax compliance responsibility for this role.
It is imperative that you have good rapport building and communication skills as this role requires you to collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including the Fund's investment department, tax advisors, co-investors, revenue authorities and various other internal teams.
