$96, 720 to $107,900 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation and a 9 day fortnight.

The Governance and Customer Service Branch is currently looking to recruit a Customer Service Team Leader to lead and supervise a professional, multi-faceted Customer Service Team.

This interesting and varied role incorporates counter services, call centre operations, online Customer Request Management (CRM), park bookings and administration functions to ensure delivery of high quality customer service to internal and external customers of Council.

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD.

Known as the 'Bushland Shire', our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape.

The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.


About the role
The Customer Service Team Leader position has the following major components:

  • Ensure the provision of high quality, efficient and effective customer service
  • Develop and implement policies, strategies and programs for delivery of exceptional customer service
  • Manage, support and develop team staff, including staff recruitment and selection
  • Develop, implement and review procedures to comply with statutory obligations.

About you
This position requires an enthusiastic, customer focused professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have considerable practical experience in supervising or managing staff, in a similar work environment.

You will possess highly developed administration and organisational skills to achieve a high standard of work performance and meet deadlines.


In your new role you will have exceptional interpersonal skills as the role involves the supervision of several staff members along with strong oral and written communication skills.

The ability to think quickly, act autonomously and handle several different tasks simultaneously is essential.

Your focus and attention to detail are important attributes as well as your calm, confident and professional manner.
