About the role

  • We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated School Officer who will undertake a diverse range of administration tasks within our College Office.

The successful applicant will work as part of a collaborative team providing services to parents, students, school staff and the wider school community.


Duties include but not limited to:

  • Answering phone calls,
  • Handling enquiries and Public and/or Student reception desk,
  • Student, parent, and staff liaison correspondence,
  • Student enrolment and data entry,
  • Assist in enrolment function including handling initial enquiries and arranging interviews,
  • Complete printing jobs, maintain print room, paper stock for photocopy machines,
  • Administration filing, including maintaining central filing/records systems,
  • Other administrative tasks as required.

The successful applicant will have:


  • Knowledge & experience in computer programs supporting administration including Microsoft Office Suite,
  • A high level of organisational and communication skills (oral and written),
  • An ability to work under both direct and general supervision, exercising discretion,
  • A high level of confidentiality,
  • Excellent time management skills and a willingness to learn,
  • The ability to multitask.

Qualifications
You should hold or be prepared to obtain a Blue Card, (Working with Children).

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.


Estimated start date:
Commencing November 2023


Position tenure:
Full Time | Fixed Term (12 Month Contract)


Weeks worked:
School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)


Tenure duration (where Fixed Term)**:12 months


Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required:38 hours per week, 7.6 hours a day.


Salary level, range or hourly rate:School Officer Level 3 - $30.97 per hour + Super
