An exciting position for a Scholarly Resources Librarian has become available at Swinburne University of Technology


To be successful in this role, the Scholarly Resources Librarian will need to have strong skills in financial management and reporting, as well as an understanding of Swinburne's resource needs across all of its cohorts including Australian campuses, Sarawak and offshore students.

The Scholarly Resources Librarian will be responsible for leading a small team and will be the nominated Content Coordinator for Swinburne within the CAUL Content/procurement community.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, and to work creatively to achieve solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage projects and complete tasks to deadlines
  • Demonstrated skills in using digital technologies including digital tools including library management systems, Microsoft Office products, advanced Excel skills, data analytics and visualization tools
  • Reporting skills including the ability to research, prepare reports and write & present recommendations to a senior audience

Qualifications

  • Completion of a degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields
