About the role:


Within the framework of the Mission, Vision, Values and Philosophy as well as the Policies of SVHS, and in collaboration with the Service Director to lead the staff, liaise with other staff, and assist in achieving optimal operation of the Theranostics and Nuclear medicine Department, in the provision of clinical services, research and teaching.

Application Instructions:


Selection Criteria:


  • Possess a medical degree and evidence of completion of nuclear medicine advanced training.
  • Possess specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • Be a member of FRACP or FRANZCR and possess specialist qualifications in nuclear medicine.
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills and high standards of clinical practice in nuclear medicine commensurate to experience which is appropriate to the requirements of the position;
  • Demonstrate commitment to teaching at speciality registrar and junior medical officer levels.
  • Demonstrate the provision of a patient focused, comprehensive, high quality and cost effective clinical service with knowledge and commitment to the implementation of best practice and clinical service innovation;
  • Demonstrate ability to provide high quality compassionate medical care as evidenced by recent practice experience in working congenially and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and as a provider of services that engender high levels of patient satisfaction and experience;
  • Demonstrate commitment to the research being undertaken by the department.
  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aitkenhead Ministries.
