About the Role:


The role is to ensure the provision of a high quality innovative educational program that meets the individual needs of the children aged from birth to 6 years.

The role also ensures the care and education program aligns with the Early Childhood Services Philosophy.

  • This is a maternity leave cover position until May 2024. Working hours are based on a rotating roster, per the requirements of the centre._

Skills, experience and certificates:


  • Early Childhood Qualification as recognised under Education and Care Services National Regulations Diploma.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate, with updates completed within the last 12 months (mandatory)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law Act (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and an ability to demonstrate within the program
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mandatory Reporting requirements
  • Ability to maintain written records and write reports relating to program goals and child development.
  • Awareness of the cultural needs of families.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to maintain written records and write reports relating to program goals and child development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and a positive approach to shared decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to work adhering to Banyule City Council's Values.
