About the role
Our client, a utilities regulator, seeks an experienced Evaluation Analyst for a full-time, 5 months contract based in Adelaide CBD with an immediate start.
As the Evaluation Analyst, you will contribute to the organisation's public reporting program and evaluation of regulated entities, to promote the long-term interests of consumers in South Australia.
Accountabilities and tasks:
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- using data and information to provide consumers and other stakeholders with insights and to explain trends in market performance.
- co-ordinating and preparing strategic communication materials such as website content, correspondence, briefing papers and reports.
- encouraging and/or requiring regulated entities to publish information and advice, in order to demonstrate their own commitment and accountability.
- Preparing or assisting in the preparation of written reports, proposals, briefs and correspondence concerning matters associated with regulated industries, including research tasks.
- liaising with licensees, consumers, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
Experience and Skills:
The experience and skills required for this position include:
- Demonstrable experience in an analytical and evaluation background with reporting writing skills preferably within a regulatory environment.
- Ability to understand legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements to support consumers, stakeholders and colleagues.
- Experience in preparing strategic communication materials such as website content and public reports.
- Experience in the drafting of letters, briefing papers, minutes and other business documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and logical manner.
- Ability to liaise effectively, including consultation and negotiation, with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a culture of teamwork.
- Ability to learn and work effectively with multiple information technology systems.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. Business, Marketing, Social Science, Research, Communications or a related discipline with relevant experience in analytics, evaluation and/or report writing.
- Experience within a regulatory environment highly desirable.
