Lightwave Yachts is a family-owned company of 25 years specialising in the construction of multihull yachts and composite parts.

As Australia's only sailing catamaran builder, we pride ourselves on the craftsmanship & quality present in each & every yacht built in our factories.

Being a smaller boat building company, each team member is involved in every stage of the build giving them the opportunity to constantly learn new skills.


Located in Yatala, Lightwave has just finished the construction of purpose-built manufacturing facility offering a safe & productive working environment.

With new models on the horizon & continual increase in production, Lightwave is looking for experienced boat builders/shipwrights to join our talented team.


The successful applicants
MUST have their own form of transport, be reliable, willing to learn & have a great attention to detail.


The tasks & responsibilities of this job include:

  • Laminating / Fibreglass / Assembly
  • Carpentry / Joinery / Woodwork
  • Plumbing
  • Fitout

Benefits:


  • Attractive hourly rates based on experience and skill
  • Overtime available
  • Minimum 38 flexible hours
  • Finish work at lunchtime on fridays

Job Types:
Full-time, Casual


Salary:
From $35.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • YATALA, QLD 4207: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Boat Building: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driver Licence (required)

  • Australia (required)
