This role is based in Access, Equity & Inclusion within the Division of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) which supports UNSW's diverse and inclusive community by working collaboratively with staff and students to drive broad and targeted positive change across the university and overseeing our equity KPIs.


Why your Role Matters

As Manager, Diversity & Inclusion, you will lead a team to drive the University's mission for an inclusive work and learning environment.

Bringing your extensive experience and expertise in the area, you will be working collaboratively with Faculties and Divisions to develop, pilot, and oversee important university-wide EDI programs and projects as well as lead training and strategy development to progress UNSW's EDI goals.

This role reports to the Deputy Director, Access, Equity & Inclusion.


Who You Are:
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and experience in leading the development and implementation of Diversity & Inclusion strategies and frameworks in a large complex organization, alongside:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to influence and maintain positive and lasting relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing regulatory and internal reporting to meet desired outcomes according to strict deadlines whilst handling competing demands.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and productively both as part of a team and independently, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement.
Demonstrated excellent planning, analytical, and conceptual skills including the ability to synthesize complex issues and deliver robust outcomes.


Proven track record in program management and demonstrated ability to facilitate the implementation of initiatives and programs across diverse stakeholders that align with strategic goals.
