-
Perioperative position in a
permanent part time capacity (16hrs per week) at our
Redland campus.

The Clinical Facilitator is supported by the Education Coordinator, the Practice Development Team and Mater Education.

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with consolidated and recent clinical experience who is interested in providing support and educational opportunities to novice and experienced staff.


The position is for a nurse who is willing to challenge their own professional scope of practice in an education role, whilst further developing and supporting their team members in a best practice model of care.

There is ample opportunity for initiative and innovation in education delivery within this team.


Salary range:
$ $56.38 (RN2) per hour plus superannuation & access to generous salary packaging up to $15,900 annually


What you'll be doing


As Clinical Facilitator you will be primarily responsible for supporting the professional development of the team and have a commitment to education and to delivering safe, quality, evidence-based patient care.

This opportunity will encompass wide and diverse coordination, provision and monitoring of unit-based and organisation-wide education, including:

  • Bedside clinical coaching
  • Clinical skills development and competencies
  • Online learning support and face to face mandatory adult and paediatric assessments
  • Revision and implementation of new policies and models of care
  • Identification, implementation and evaluation of best practice models
  • Assisting with development and facilitation of simulated learning opportunities

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current and unrestricted registration and endorsement (where applicable) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of three (3) years post graduate cumulative clinical experience (clinical specialty desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or postgraduate qualification in education, or willingness to work towards achieving
  • Post graduate qualifications in the relevant specialty (Nursing / Midwifery and/or Education) or working towards same.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and preceptorship
  • High level communication and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
