-
Perioperative position in a
permanent part time capacity (16hrs per week) at our
Redland campus.

The Clinical Facilitator is supported by the Education Coordinator, the Practice Development Team and Mater Education.

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with consolidated and recent clinical experience who is interested in providing support and educational opportunities to novice and experienced staff.

The position is for a nurse who is willing to challenge their own professional scope of practice in an education role, whilst further developing and supporting their team members in a best practice model of care.

There is ample opportunity for initiative and innovation in education delivery within this team.

Salary range:
$ $56.38 (RN2) per hour plus superannuation & access to generous salary packaging up to $15,900 annually

What you'll be doing

As Clinical Facilitator you will be primarily responsible for supporting the professional development of the team and have a commitment to education and to delivering safe, quality, evidence-based patient care.

This opportunity will encompass wide and diverse coordination, provision and monitoring of unit-based and organisation-wide education, including:

Bedside clinical coaching
Clinical skills development and competencies
Online learning support and face to face mandatory adult and paediatric assessments
Revision and implementation of new policies and models of care
Identification, implementation and evaluation of best practice models
Assisting with development and facilitation of simulated learning opportunities

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:

Current and unrestricted registration and endorsement (where applicable) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of three (3) years post graduate cumulative clinical experience (clinical specialty desirable)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or postgraduate qualification in education, or willingness to work towards achieving
Post graduate qualifications in the relevant specialty (Nursing / Midwifery and/or Education) or working towards same.
Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and preceptorship
High level communication and problemsolving skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
