Your new role


Reporting to the Principal, Portfolio and Transformation, the portfolio analyst is accountable for supporting the Principal with any reporting needed to ensure that the Strategic Portfolio delivers to the benefits agreed to support the Fund to deliver the Long-Term Strategy.

**Role Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Principal, Portfolio & Transformation to develop and maintain the overall Portfolio Roadmap, including feasibility analysis, and ensuring benefits are delivered
  • Support the production of materials, working with the Portfolio team in the Fund Services Delivery team to support decision making at the Strategic Delivery Committee
  • Produce other communication and presentation materials as required (such as committee and Executive reports)
  • Responsible for monitoring the Benefits across the Portfolio.
  • Categorise benefits to financial/nonfinancial, short, medium or long term and capture the cumulative view of benefit phasing in the portfolio.
  • Report benefits post project close out to support benefit tracking.
  • Maintain a consolidated view of portfolio benefits (planned, in delivery and delivered) with a view of how benefit phasing will impact key organisational metrics.
  • Track changes to project benefits as a result of project change requests.
  • Provide reporting and tracking of any potential regulatory change
  • Assist in the preparation and running of the regulatory change forum
  • Provide any other analytic and reporting support as needed to the Principal and team

What you'll need

  • Proficiency with analytical software tools (including excel, BI tools, cube based software)
  • Experience in report writing
  • Tertiary qualifications in a strategy, commerce, finance, business or related field (such as Bachelor of Business, Managements, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, economics, Mathematics or Science) (desired)
  • Agile, PMP, MSP, PRINCE2, BABOK, or a similar certification
  • Experience in a governance function within a PMO
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome resistance to change and achieve compliance with standards, practices and quality expectations
  • Well developed interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project finance and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive results
  • Sound understanding of ethical, commercial business practices
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in high pressure and complex environments
  • Ability to work cross functionally to deliver sound outcomes to a broad range of stakeholders
