Description

On behalf of our client, a global energy operator, we are looking for a Deputy Topside Manager for Phase 2b.


This role entails providing essential support to the Topside Manager in overseeing the execution of all Topsides integration aspects for Phase 2B.

The Topside Manager will be on an alternate secondment for 6 months (August 2023 to March 2024), during which the Deputy Topside Manager will fulfill the role of acting Topside Manager.

Delivery of Phase 2b topside engineering work integration

  • Lead and coordinate the topsides integration and engineering team for the timely and efficient execution of Phase 2B CPF integration work.
  • Collaborate with the Topside Engineering Manager to finalize detailed engineering work, ensuring optimization of resources, especially Low-Cost Center utilization in Chennai.
  • Oversee all procurement, expediting, and logistics of the Brownfield scope, including key package followups such as SWLP/Cooler/HP-LP Bundles.
  • Manage integration scope from preparation stages to offshore execution, including work pack preparation, onshore fabrication scope, and offshore commissioning and systemization assistance.

Cost Management:


  • Assist the Topside Manager with the overall Topside planning with the assistance of the cost team.
  • Update forecast of Topside Budget.
  • Identify cost risk and trend.
  • Assist to find some cost saving when possible

TeamWork:


  • Ensure strong leadership and good collaboration considering the size of the team.
  • Assist the Topside Manager to readjust the Topside organisation based on the different phase of the project.
  • Develop and maintain strong teamwork in global working environment.
  • Ensure a good collaboration with all the working groups.

About you

  • Extensive Work experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Offshore HU / Shut down / Commissioning experience, including large offshore integrationexperience.
  • Operation experience at least 5 years
  • Experience in Engineering/Procurement project phase.
  • Valid BOSIET.
  • Tertiary Engineering Degree.
  • Fluency in English
  • Previous experience in Offshore Production Facility EPC project
  • Previous experience in Riser and Umbilical Hookup and commissioning work.
  • Australian Full working rights
  • Availability to travel offshore during IHUC phase.
