About Service Experience

Service Experience is a newly created directorate, tasked with transforming support services by redesigning and continuously improving how support services are delivered to schools.

Our ambition is to design and deliver simple and seamless services with the needs of our schools at its heart.


The Department is looking to Service Experience as the trailblazers, carving the way in innovation and transformation by reimagining and re-designing the way support services are currently delivered.

Backed by best practices and human centred design principles, we are:


  • Simplifying endtoend support services, systems and processes
  • Providing easy access to information and support through newly designed access channels
  • Ensuring quality of service by our service providers.


In Service Experience, we're listening to the voice of school colleagues, understanding their needs, and co-designing solutions to create and deliver support services that meet school needs.

By making services effortless, we are empowering schools to focus on what they do best - deliver learning outcomes today for a thriving Australia tomorrow.


This is an exciting time to join the Service Experience team as we look to the future, knowing that service delivery and the way we all access, design and build support services will be fundamentally different from today.

We are expanding our team and will progressively advertise roles in the areas of Content and Communications, Service Engagement, Robotic Process Automation, Business Process Management, Process / Service / UX Design, Human Centred Design approaches to improvement, Change Management, Data Analytics, Business Analysis and Service Governance.
