The Role

The Data Analytics Platforms and Warehousing (DAPW) section delivers and maintains data analytics platforms and warehousing for the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and the Department of Education.


Reporting to the EL1 Assistant Director/Team Lead, the APS4 Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a range of projects and administrative processes to support the delivery of projects within the department in accordance with relevant policies, standards, and guidelines.


The role will have responsibility for the preparation and collation of data including some initial analysis and has some responsibility for the preparation and drafting of written reports, formal letters and briefings as required.


Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the APS4 position may include:

  • Assist in the planning, administration, coordination, execution, and monitoring of IT projects according to DEWR's SAFe Agile framework.
  • Support the team in the preparation and maintenance of highquality project documentation including status reports, project plans, briefing papers, and executive correspondence for presentation to senior staff.
  • Assist the team to conduct research and analysis to support project initiatives.
  • Work with functional teams to prepare for various projects and promote cross function collaboration and operational planning.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Education

  • Knowledge of best practice in corporate governance relating to program and project management, including performance reporting.
  • Must hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) or be willing to undergo and obtain an AGSVA clearance (Baseline clearance as a minimum).
