About You

If you have a strong interest in editing, publishing or communications, we want to hear from you As our Publications Administrator you'll draw upon your exceptional organisational and administration skills when liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, teams, authors and peer reviewers to ensure smooth and efficient publication processes


You will also demonstrate:
Experience using ScholarOne.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders.
Ability to problem solve and resolve issues with a strong attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time management with an ability to manage competing tasks and priorities and meet strict deadlines.
About the Opportunity


Reporting to the Publications Manager, you'll provide high-level administrative support to the Publications team to assist in the production of Australian Journal of General Practice (AJGP) and check publications, RACGP clinical guidelines and standards, as well as our other publications within the specified timeline and in line with correct policy and procedure.

You'll also collaborate with authors, editors and team members to manage the processing of manuscript submissions and preparation for production.


Some of your responsibilities include:
Manage the online manuscript submission system, maintain the flow of documents and monitor receipt and progress.
Style and prepare manuscripts for production.
Manage permissions requests, coordinate copyright agreements and negotiate publication terms of use.
Issue documents for the publications team including contracts and invoices, manage the publications inbox and respond to queries.
Organise Editorial Advisory Committee meetings, assist with audits and provide support for data uploads.
