As part of a Government funded $66Million programme of work this NFP are doing some amazing work in the Aged care sector.


The position of Manager, Data Governance, provides expertise to extract meaning and generate insights from the organisatiojs data to drive strategy, decision making, and efficiencies associated with contractual 'impact demonstration' deliverables for the Australian Federal Department of Health and Aged Care.


The role provides overall management and direction to the Data Management Services, working collaboratively with consortium members to ensure data is leveraged for maximum advantage, including for the purposes of marketing and promotion, services needs and gap analysis, financial modelling and impact evaluation.


Key functions of the position involve assisting with the compilation of national datasets relating to training services, including identification of data sources, organising large data-sets into usable formats for analysis, building predictive models, developing conclusive insights using statistical methods, presenting information for diverse audiences using data visualisations techniques, producing executive briefs, and contributing to periodic reports.


Essential:

  • Completion of a relevant postgraduate level qualification or degree qualification plus extensive professional experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in a data governance or data management role.
  • Experience working with large datasets obtained from a variety of sources.
  • A highlevel aptitude for analysing, interpreting, reporting and making management decisions based on financial and other performance data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including sound cultural sensitivity and stakeholder focus.
  • Demonstrated participation/capacity to participate in Governance and Service activity both within the University and external bodies (e.g. professional associations).
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, lead the activities of a team of professionals and appropriately influence executive managers.

Desirable:

  • Experience in dementia/ageing/health/education

This role is based in Wollongong for an initial 3 month contract with the option to go permanent or extend. Hybrid / WFH is available
