The process of selling items in store all starts with Retail Sorters. They play a key role in quality control, checking donated items and determining their suitability for sale.

Nothing is sold without the Retail Sorter's discerning eye for detail, their strong sense of order and good presentation, as well as their knowledge of designer brands and collectable items.


Key responsibilities:

Organising:

Distribution Sorters bring their strong sense of order and tidiness by ensuring items are ready for store orders and distribution.

This may include, cleaning homewares, shoes and bags, packaging up craft, bedding, clothing and sorting jewellery, books and CD/DVDS

Team Work:
Work with the Logistics supervisor in sorting and packing the saleable items for store orders.

Bring along your ideas, suggestions and concerns to the regular team meetings and join in on celebrations and special occasions.

Qualifications and skills (desired/required): Organization skills, keen eye for detail,


Experience in sales of second hand goods is preferred but not mandatory as volunteers are always supported with on the job training.

Required to fully complete TSA mission volunteer induction, training and registration process.

Time Required & Commitment:
We will be blessed to have you as our team member and honour value the time you give. We are very flexible and are happy to work with you.

From 3 hour shifts to 6 hours. From 1 day a week to 3 days a week


Development opportunities with this role:


This role will give volunteers an opportunity to develop skills and build experience in retail practices, valuations of donations, sorting and stocking of shelves, as well as experience in working as a part of a team.

Volunteers will receive on the job training and support, working alongside experienced retail professionals in a caring and supportive environment.

As an extra bonus, volunteers have access to professional development training.
