About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our Environment Management function across InfraBuild Recycling Nationally.

This role is key to our organisation achieving our own site management objectives whilst also ensuring Operational adherence to regulatory standards for both licensed and unlicensed sites.


This role will see you working closely with regulators as well as Operations in devising commercially viable and sustainable Environment solutions.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Developing relationships and building trust through delivery with relevant regulatory bodies
  • Guiding and coaching Operational parts of the business on key deliverables or milestones
  • Ensuring compliance to the agreed standards for each site
  • Maintaining licenses
  • Ensuring accurate reporting to meet regulatory and licence requirements
  • Active participation in the wider InfraBuild Environmental Network

About your experience:

You are an experienced, confident decision maker who never walks past an opportunity for improvement.

You will interface with various internal and external stakeholder groups and be able to take them with you on the journey, fostering understanding and buy in.


To be successful in this role you will:

  • Ideally bring existing experience in Environment management from the waste, mining or construction industries
  • Have past experience interfacing with the EPA
  • Understand regulatory triggers and convert to actionable items for Operational Sites
  • Be able to influence various stakeholder groups and work collaboratively
  • Previous experience in SAP (maintenance) and Cority (or similar) are considered favourably
  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded
  • Be able to understand and interpret legislation, standards, licence requirements and technical reports (such as water or air sample analysis)
