Chief Executive Officer


The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) SA is a not-for-profit member-based association that is focused on promoting the interests of the South Australian property development industry, which includes land developers, builders, planners, architects and other professionals involved in the development of urban areas.


We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join the UDIA to lead its efforts in advising and influencing state policymakers and regulators on issues including property development, housing, urban planning, infrastructure delivery, business conditions and the economy.


The CEO will lead the team to ensure the UDIA retains its position as a relevant and influential voice in the South Australian political landscape.

This role will work closely with the government, local councils and other stakeholders to ensure that policies and regulations are in place, which facilitate sustainable and efficient development, while meeting the needs of the community.

High level interpersonal skills and the proven ability to manage and influence key stakeholders are essential, together with expertise in political advocacy.


Having a have a strong understanding of the property development and/or the construction industries, and the challenges facing developers would be an advantage, but not essential.


This is a key appointment, which will ensure the UDIA continues to have a strong voice and profile, balanced with ensuring members feel well represented and serviced by the UDIA efforts.
