Australia Post is delivering for Australia. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We're delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We're moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the opportunity:

The Research & Insights Manager is responsible for designing discrete customer, brand and product research and providing actionable insights that inform customer plans and marketing strategies.

This role will play a critical role in representing the voice of customers and consumers of Australia Post.

The role works collaboratively with peers across Voice of Customer, Insights & Segmentation to provide a customer's perspective to support effective and customer driven business decisions.

Ultimately the research and insight is intended to drive excellence in customer offerings and experiences, and to align to Australia Post's overall strategy.

Insights are drawn from a range of qualitative and quantitative customer research sources and bespoke market research projects. The competitive and market context is also aligned to drive further insight.

This role is responsible for managing a comprehensive program of market research to generate valuable insights, evolve target audiences, develop and maintain ongoing campaign evaluation research and be a key contributor to future marketing strategies and brand positioning.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing specific programs of qualitative and quantitative customer market research
  • Providing insights to support business decisions about brand, reputation and communications and drive decision making more broadly for customer strategy, product development, pricing, segment strategy and channel strategy
  • Designing and managing briefs informed by customer data, including campaign hypotheses and presentations to describe, diagnose and predict customer experience and performance
  • Delivering research to contribute to the development of holistic and segmented customer strategies for the Marketing function to drive customer advocacy and commercial performance across all segments, product groups and channels

About you

You're a research & insights specialist who excels at delving into data to harness insights and uses these in context to produce engaging reports/presentations and relevant recommendations.

You enjoy building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and are passionate about customer feedback being used to drive change through enhanced CX and commercial outcomes.

You're eager to get stuff done, and approach your work with enthusiasm, diligence and a can-do attitude.

You understand that all of your family and friends shall ask or tell about their latest parcel delivery each time they see you and can appreciate this as a customer feedback or competitive landscape learning moment

What are we looking for?

  • 7 years + experience in market research and or customer insights role in a large & complex organisation
  • Ability to prioritise workloads without compromising quality work outputs, and an ability to work alone, under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to prepare and present comprehensive briefs, reports and initiatives and other material to senior and executive management, and to staff at all levels

How we'll deliver for you
