The Role
Our client is looking for an experienced purchasing officer to join their team based in Cannon Hill.
Responsibilities would include
- Liaising with suppliers / subcontractors and production staff to ensure production goods are delivered on time
- Maintain catalogues, and supplier records
- Build strong working relationships with both key internal and external stakeholders
- Daily purchasing activities including the creation and expediting of purchase orders
- Identify and mitigate risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases, escalating as required
- Compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, implementing corrective actions
Skills/Experience
- Excellent judgement and decision making skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience in a similar role highly regarded
